It’s the story of Drake, who made the NCAA tournament yesterday from the Missouri Valley, they’re 30 and 3.

And they have this coach, Ben McCollum, 12 kids transferred out of Drake, 2 graduated and one, I think, did stopped playing basketball.

So 15 kids left the program and he’s basically got an empty cupboard.

So he brings in 4 of his players from Northwest Missouri.

These are division 2 players.

The entire team, only 2 players and, and the, and then him as a coach had ever been in Division 1.

And they’d only started 11 games total.

And these D2 kids, given this opportunity after being told you’re not good enough for D1, they’re 30 and 3 and are an absolute joy to watch, and I would not want to draw in March, right, Pat?

Correct.

Yeah, no, it’s a great story and um it is indicative of a little bit of the fluidity up and down the transfer portal has brought.

This is the most dramatic, uh, In instance of it that I’ve seen where you got basically a D2 lineup moves up to D1 and kills everybody.

And if you haven’t seen Bennett Sturtz, do yourself a favor in the NCAA tournament and watch him.

He’s a perfect point guard.

He refuses to be sped up.

You cannot speed him up.

You can’t do it, and leads the nation in minutes played.

Speaking of Kurtignetti, what what he did at Indiana this past year, right?

Taking I don’t know what you end up taking 22 or 23 maybe um players from James Madison.

I think it was like 12, it was 23.

Yeah, like a dozen.
