Kansas State basketball vs Iowa State: Score prediction, scouting report for Senior Day

MANHATTAN — Kansas State’s basketball team wraps up its regular season at 12:30 p.m. Saturday with a home game against No. 10-ranked Iowa State at Bramlage Coliseum.

The streaky Wildcats (15-15, 9-10) have won their last two games and now have a chance to finish at .500 in the Big 12. They beat Colorado at home last Sunday, 65-56, then picked up a 54-49 come-from-behind road victory at Cincinnati on Wednesday.

Iowa State has struggled down the stretch, dropping three of its last four games, including an 88-85 double overtime decision at home to Brigham Young on Tuesday.

K-State beat Iowa State, 80-61, in their first meeting on Feb. 1 in Ames, ending a 15-game road losing streak. The victory was part of a season-best six-game winning streak for the Wildcats, while the No. 3-ranked Cyclones lost for the first time in 29 games at Hilton Coliseum.

Kansas State to celebrate senior class

K-State will honor its four seniors before their final home game at Bramlage. Forward David N’Guessan is completing his third season with the Wildcats after transferring from Virginia Tech and leads the team with 13.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.

Versatile 6-foot-10 forward Coleman Hawkins, a super-senior transfer from Illinois, returned to the lineup against Cincinnati after missing the previous three games with a right knee injury. He averages 10.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists.

Guard Max Jones transferred to K-State from Cal State Fullerton and has started all 30 games, averaging 10 points and 4.0 rebounds.
