It’s March and all of the “madness” has already begun, especially if you are an Ohio State fan because the Buckeyes are the very definition of a bubble team.
But what about the rest of the Big Ten? The conference has some teams like Michigan State, Michigan, Maryland, Wisconsin, and Purdue, but there are others that are still trying to put the paint and caulking on the finishing touches of their body of work to receive an invite to the NCAA Tournament.
We like to keep an eye on the OG “bracketologist,” Joe Lunardi of ESPN to see where he not only has Ohio State, but the Buckeyes’ Big Ten brethren when it comes to who will be a part of March Madness and all that goes with it. We’ll continue to see where the teams are in relation to the nation as we witness the finishing kick of the season all the way through the Big Ten Tournament that is set to tip off next week in Indianapolis.
Here’s a look at where each Big Ten team is with the latest iteration of Lunardi’s “bracketology” with games ending on Thursday, March 6.
Big Ten locks for the NCAA Tournament

Michigan State Spartans (Projected No. 2 seed): The Spartans are the regular-season Big Ten champions and its hard to see how they fall below a No. 2 seed. Tom Izzo has had this team overachieve this year and it looks like a unit that is performing as a team.
Wisconsin Badgers – (Projected No. 3 seed): Face it, you don’t like the Wisconsin program. Not because of what it stands for, but because it just continues to hum along with the system and type of players that can get under your skin by punching above their weight. Teams will have to beat Wisconsin, the Badgers won’t beat themselves.
Michigan Wolverines – (Projected No. 4 seed): Michigan may have hit a bit of a slide here as of late, but this is a team that can pose some matchup issues inside…
