USA TODAY Sports released their recent forecast of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament field of 68, and they have the Nebraska Cornhuskers as one of the first four teams out of March Madness.
The Huskers are joined in the first four out by the Oklahoma Sooners, Texas Longhorns, and the North Carolina Tar Heels.
If Nebraska earns an NCAA Tournament bid, it will be the ninth in school history and the second under head coach Fred Hoiberg. The Huskers are the only power conference school that has never won a tournament game, with a 0-8 all-time record.
The Cornhuskers are 17-13 overall and 7-12 in the Big Ten Conference. They will next play on Saturday, March 9, when they face the Iowa Hawkeyes. Tip-off is set for 11:30 a.m. CT on Fox.
