PEORIA — The Bradley Braves had a trio of senior starters and a freshman earn places among those who earned 2024-25 Missouri Valley Conference league honors Wednesday.
Braves guard Duke Deen, guard Zek Montgomery and forward Darius Hannah all earned recognition.
Deen won a place on the All-MVC First Team, while Hannah landed on the All-MVC Second Team and Montgomery on the All-MVC Third Team. Hannah also was named to the MVC All-Defensive Team.
Bradley freshman guard Jaquan Johnson earned a spot on the MVC All-Freshman Team. He was also named to the MVC All-Bench Team earlier this week in a vote of league beat writers and media panel.

The 2025 Arch Madness tournament gets under way Thursday at Enterprise Center in St. Louis. Bradley, the No. 2 seed, has a first-round bye. The Braves will play in the quarterfinals at 6 p.m. Friday against the winner of Thursday’s Evansville-Murray State game.
Drake dominates individual awards
Valley regular-season champions Drake reeled in the biggest award as junior guard Bennett Stirtz was named to the Larry Bird MVC Player of the Year and the Bulldogs’ Ben McCollum was named Valley Coach of the Year.
Stirtz leads the MVC in scoring (18.93 points per game), assists (5.93) and steals (2.20). Only two others on record have done so in MVC history: Anthony Manuel of Bradley (1989), and Curt Smith of Drake (1993). Stirtz, who leads the nation in minutes per game, is the only player in the NCAA to lead his league in scoring, assists, and steals.
Stirtz also was named Newcomer of the Year and teammate Tavion Banks was Sixth-Man of the Year.
