Tyrese Proctor injury update: Will Duke basketball player be in lineup vs Wake Forest?

[ad_1]

DURHAM — Duke basketball guard Tyrese Proctor is returning from a knee injury and will be back in the starting lineup for the Blue Devils’ against Wake Forest on Monday night.

“Who’s back in the starting lineup today?” was posted on the official X account (formerly known as Twitter) of Duke men’s basketball prior to the game.

In a video featuring Proctor and Neal Begovich, Proctor answers that question by saying, “Crikey. It’s me, without a doubt.”

The Aussie guard, who missed the second-ranked Blue Devils’ blowout win against Florida State with a bone bruise in his knee, has been one of the most consistent players for Duke (26-3, 17-1 ACC) in his junior season.

Entering the Cameron Indoor Stadium finale against Wake Forest (20-9, 12-6), Proctor is averaging 11.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. He started the first 28 games of the season, knocking down 40.8% of his shots from 3-point range.

Proctor had six points and eight rebounds in the Blue Devils’ 63-56 win against Wake Forest in Winston-Salem on Jan. 25.
