Texas A&M tumbles in the AP Top 25 poll after going 0-2 in Week 18

[ad_1]

The Texas A&M (20-9, 9-7 SEC) basketball team went 0-2 in Week 18, losing to unranked Vanderbilt and No. 3 Florida. This extends their losing streak to four, with two games left in the regular season.

The Texas A&M Aggies basketball team is currently facing challenging times with limited reasons for fans to cheer. The most alarming aspect is the glaringly simple blueprint to beat the once top-ranked A&M defense. By just moving the ball efficiently, opponents are frequently able to find open looks for three-pointers. Unfortunately for Texas A&M, almost every team they have played has been able to capitalize on these open shots, resulting in a discouraging four-game losing streak.

As the No. 1 Auburn Tigers come to town, all indications suggest that the Maroon & White are in for another tough game. However, with Auburn having already clinched the regular season title and a bye in the SEC tournament, they might not have the same sense of urgency as the Aggies. At the same time, Texas A&M has yet to demonstrate the ability to make effective adjustments against some of the better teams in the conference.

The two top spots in the rankings remain unchanged, with Auburn and Duke leading the pack. Houston has claimed the No. 3 spot, while Texas A&M experienced the most significant drop, falling 10 spots to No. 22 after a winless week.
