Feb. 28—BIG SPRING — The Odessa College men’s basketball team lost to Howard College 85-79 in a Western Junior College Athletic Conference game Thursday on the road.
The loss puts another dent in the Wranglers’ NJCAA tournament hopes as Odessa College fell to 20-9 overall, 9-6 in WJCAC.
The Hawks improved to 19-10, 7-8.
The Wranglers were led by Samarion Bond’s 19 points while Ahmere Carson had 18 and Jaiden Reynolds had 15.
Howard College was led in scoring by Preist Ryan’s 17 points while Keziah Ekissi had 15 points.
Odessa College will next face South Plains College (22-6, 12-2) at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
