Four players listed as out for Tennessee-Alabama basketball game

No. 5 Tennessee (23-5, 10-5 SEC) will host No. 6 Alabama (23-5, 12-3 SEC) on Saturday at Food City Center. Rankings reflect the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.

Tipoff for the top 10 matchup between the Vols and Crimson Tide is slated for 4 p.m. EST. ESPN will televise the contest. Karl Ravech (play-by-play), Jimmy Dykes (analyst), Dick Vitale (analyst) and Molly McGrath (reporter) will be on the call.

Beginning with the 2024-25 athletics calendar, Southeastern Conference schools will provide public reports on availability of student-athletes to participate in each conference game in football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and baseball.

Below is the final student-athlete availability report for the Tennessee-Alabama men’s basketball game on Saturday.

Tennessee versus Alabama basketball injury report

Tennessee sophomore forward J.P. Estrella is listed as out. Estrella will miss the remainder of the season due to a foot injury.

Three players are also listed as out for Alabama: guard Latrell Wrightsell Jr., forward Derrion Reid and guard Houston Mallette. Guard Mark Sears is probable for the Crimson Tide.
