With Ariel Hukporti out for several weeks and the Knicks’ center position — while getting healthier soon with the impending return of Mitchell Robinson — rather thin at the moment, one player on New York’s radar to fill its 15th roster spot is Moses Brown, per SNY’s NBA Insider Ian Begley.
Brown, who played high school basketball at Archbishop Molloy in Briarwood N.Y., spent time with the Westchester Knicks earlier this season but is currently on a 10-day contract with the Dallas Mavericks.
In a 103-96 win on Thursday against the Charlotte Hornets, the 25-year-old had 20 points, 11 rebounds, three steals and two blocks in 31 minutes.
Dallas can’t immediately sign Brown to another 10-day deal because it is hard-capped at the first apron, meaning he is up for grabs.
