Kansas State’s basketball team is back on the road Wednesday to face Central Florida in a 6 p.m. game at Addition Financial Arena in Orlando.

Since reeling off six victories in a row and pushing for a spot on the NCAA Tournament bubble, the Wildcats (13-14, 7-9 Big 12) have fallen on hard times with three straight losses. They fell at home to Arizona State on Sunday, 66-54.

UCF (14-13, 5-11) also has struggled of late but ended a seven-game losing streak Sunday with a 76-72 home victory against Utah. George Mason transfer Keyshawn Hall leads the Knights in scoring with 18.8 points per game and rebounding with 6.9, while Darius Johnson averages 15 points and 4.2 assists.

UCF is shooting 56.3% with four 3-pointers — three by Darius Johnson — and leads K-State, 23-15, with 11:13 left in the half. Not sure the Wildcats want to get in a shootout with the Knights.

Another slow start for K-State

UCF has three early 3-pointers and leads K-State with 15:33 left in the first half, 14-6. Wildcats are 3 of 9 shooting and have missed both 3-point tries, plus have turned the ball over three times already.

Ugo Onyenso has two of K-State’s three baskets. Darius Johnson leads UCF with six points on a pair of threes.
