Jordan Gainey is a game-time decision for Tennessee basketball at LSU with flu-like symptoms.
The Vols guard is averaging 10.7 points in 27.8 minutes per game.
No. 5 Tennessee (22-5, 9-5 SEC) plays at LSU (14-13, 3-11) on Tuesday (9 p.m. ET, SEC Network) for its only meeting with the Tigers this season. The Vols close the regular season against No. 6 Alabama, at Ole Miss, and against South Carolina.
Forward Felix Okpara is expected to play against LSU. He was listed as probable with a left knee injury on Monday’s SEC injury report.
Jordan Gainey is a game-time decision for Tennessee at LSU
Gainey had 14 points in Tennessee’s 77-69 win at Texas A&M on Saturday. He made two 3-pointers in the final 3:33 to help the Vols pull away late in the significant road win. He was 3-for-18 on 3-pointers in the previous five games.
Tennessee is 16-0 this season when Gainey scores nine or more points. He averages 11.6 points in Tennessee’s wins and 6.8 points in losses.
Gainey also dealt with flu-like symptoms when Tennessee played at Auburn on Jan. 25. He scored eight points in 25 minutes.
