Michigan State basketball went on the road and defeated their arch rival Michigan, propelling themselves into first place of the Big Ten standings on Friday night. The Spartans defeated the Wolverines, 75-62, behind a huge second half and elite play from Tre Holloman and Jase Richardson.

Following the win, with “Go Green, Go White” chants raining down in the Crisler Center, and Michigan fans hitting the exits early, the Spartans had a massive celebration in the locker room.

A team that is as together as any of Tom Izzo’s teams have ever been, it makes sense that the team is celebrating the way that they are, and showing how connected of a unit this team is. This is just another big win for the Spartans to embrace together, and with their fan base.

Michigan State will look to carry their Big Ten lead in the standings when they go on the road to Maryland on Wednesday to face off against the Terrapins.
