Florida basketball is back on the road, looking to maintain the high standard it has achieved during its current five-game win streak.
The No. 2 Florida Gators (23-3, 10-3 SEC) play Saturday at LSU (6 p.m. SEC Network) in the first of two straight road games. After LSU, Florida travels again to face rival Georgia on Feb. 25 in Athens, Ga.
Florida is 5-2 on the road this season and has won its last two road games at No. 1 Auburn and at Mississippi State.
UF’s current five-game SEC win streak is its longest in conference play since 2019. The Gators have averaged 86.0 points per game during the five-game stretch, scoring 80 or more points in all five games.
“We have done a great job of getting our guys confident and comfortable and ready for when their number is called,” Florida basketball coach Todd Golden said. “So, it is about trying to be consistent, you know, and finding little different areas to troubleshoot. That’s how we’re trying to get better.
LSU (14-12, 3-10), under third-year coach Matt McMahon, will enter the matchup with some conference. The Tigers have won two straight and are coming off an 81-67 win over South Carolina.
“We’re gonna try to do everything we can to keep it about us, but, you know, also honor and respect what LSU has been doing,” Golden said. “They are playing better for sure.”

Florida has had five double-figure scorers in four straight games, including in Tuesday night’s win over Oklahoma, when Walter Clayton Jr. led five scorers in double figures with 18 points, The ability of generating offense from multiple positions has made UF tough to defend.
“We’ve gotten some really, really good players in here,” Golden said. “I think as a staff, you know, we’ve just become more connected being together now for three years and everybody has a really good understanding of what we’re looking to do.”
