The Marquette men’s basketball team just got a rare week between games as it gears up for the final month of the regular season before Selection Sunday.

After winning their lone game last week, the Golden Eagles (19-6, 10-4 Big East) landed at No. 16 in this week’s Associated Press poll, up two spots from last week.

MU is ranked 15th in the USA TODAY coaches poll.

Marquette basketball scores last week

Feb. 11 vs. DePaul: The Golden Eagles only played once last week, overcoming an anemic 16% three-point shooting performance for a 68-58 victory at Fiserv Forum. Kam Jones had 19 points and Stevie Mitchell added 17.

Coming up for Marquette

Marquette vs. Seton Hall, Tuesday: The Golden Eagles won’t take the Pirates lightly with Seton Hall coming off an upset victory over Connecticut on Saturday. MU cruised to an easy victory on Jan. 21 in Newark, New Jersey.

MU will also retire Jim Chones’ No. 22 during the game.

Marquette at Villanova, Friday: In a change from recent seasons, the teams will meet at Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia rather than the Wildcats’ on-campus gym. The teams last played at Wells Fargo in 2018. MU won the first matchup on Jan. 24.
