WEST LAFAYETTE — Purdue basketball’s quest to challenge itself in the nonconference portion of its schedule continued with its most recent addition.

The Boilermakers scheduled a home-and-home series with Iowa State beginning next season.

Purdue will host the Cyclones next season and travel to Ames, Iowa for the 2026-27 season. That game adds to a nonconference slate that includes a road game at Alabama, a home game against Marquette and a neutral site game versus Auburn in Indianapolis.

Iowa State is 19-5 while Purdue owns a 19-6 record prior to Saturday’s home game against Wisconsin.

The Boilermakers lead the all-time series with Iowa State 3-2, but lost the only non-neutral site meeting in the first game between the two when the Cyclones beat Purdue 104-96 in Mackey Arena in 1987.

Purdue won neutral site games against Iowa State in consecutive seasons in 1994 and ’95 and lost in the semifinals of the 2007 Las Vegas Holiday Classic.
