Michigan State basketball is no longer in the top 10 of the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.
The updated coaches poll was released on Monday, and the Spartans dropped a few spots and out of the top 10. Michigan State is now ranked at No. 11 in the updated poll — which is the same position they are in the Associated Press Top 25.
Michigan State is the second-highest ranked team in the Big Ten behind only Purdue at No. 7. Only three other Big Ten teams were included in this week’s poll: Wisconsin at No. 15, Michigan at No. 17 and Maryland at No. 25. Illinois dropped out of the top 25 this week.
Michigan State is 19-4 overall and 10-2 in Big Ten play on the year. This week’s schedule includes the Spartans hosting Indiana on Tuesday night and then traveling to Illinois on Saturday night.
