Brad Brownell and the Clemson men’s basketball team may have earned the label of ‘blue blood slayers’ in 2025 after the run the Tigers are on.

Every single one of them has lost to the Clemson Tigers this season. While it sounds crazy knowing the history of these programs and Clemson’s history, but this isn’t the same Tigers’ program from the past. This program isn’t a blue blood, but they are definitely playing like one.

Their first blue-blood win of the season came against No. 15 Kentucky, where the Tigers handled business in a close 70-66 win. A huge win for the Tigers, but not their biggest win this season.Their biggest win, came from No. 2 Duke. The Tigers took down the Blue Devils 77-71 in front of their home crowd, shocking the college basketball world. Brownell and the Tigers proved there that this team wasn’t joking around, securing another massive win for the program. From a regular season standpoint, it was possibly the Tigers’ best win ever.

Shortly after, the North Carolina Tar Heels suffered the Tigers’ wrath. However, Brownell’s squad beat them down, thrashing them 85-65 in a blowout.

Think about it, Clemson fans… Duke, UNC, and Kentucky in one season! Would you have ever even remotely imagined this? What Brad Brownell has done with this program is truly astounding. Clemson isn’t a blue blood, but they are playing like it!
