Knicks list OG Anunoby as out for Tuesday’s matchup with Raptors

Knicks forward OG Anunoby missed Monday night’s win over the Houston Rockets due to a mild foot sprain, and he will once again be unavailable for Tuesday night’s matchup with his former team, the Toronto Raptors.

Anunoby was officially listed as out for Tuesday, while Mikal Bridges (ankle), Karl-Anthony Towns (knee), and Josh Hart (knee) are all probable.

Tom Thibodeau said on Monday that Anunoby is considered day-to-day after an MRI revealed a foot sprain suffered on Saturday against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Anunoby is having another strong season, averaging 16.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. While his scoring can be streaky, Anunoby’s defense makes him a vital piece of the Knicks’ lineup.

Without Anunoby on Monday, Precious Achiuwa stepped into the starting lineup and played well, scoring seven points with nine rebounds in 35 minutes.

After Tuesday’s game, the Knicks don’t play again until Saturday (at home against Boston), and time will tell if Anunoby will be able to suit up for that game.
