Providence is coming off a disappointing 68-66 loss to 15th-ranked St. John’s on Saturday in New York. Kadary Richmond hit a free-throw line jumper with 3 seconds to clinch it for the Red Storm. Along with 24 points, Richmond also had eight rebounds and eight assists for St. John’s, which won its eighth straight game, 14 in a row at home. RJ Luis Jr. scored 19 points and had eight rebounds and Zuby Ejiofor chipped in 13 points for St. John’s. Jabri Abdur-Rahim hit 8 of his 11 3-point shots and led the Friars with 27 points off the bench. Jayden Pierre added 11 points for PC.
