Texas A&M enters the top ten in the AP Top 25 Poll after going 2-0 in Week 13

Texas A&M (17-5, 6-3 SEC) went 2-0 in week 13 after beating Oklahoma and South Carolina winning consecutive games in the same week for the first time in a while.

The Aggies have not looked that great on offense lately or all year. However, they tend to make up for it by playing tough defense, offensive rebounding, and their ability to remain calm during intense situations. Beating South Carolina essentially locked them into an NCAA Tournament slot. If they can go on a run, they have the opportunity to make a big jump with games against Missouri, Mississippi St., and Tennessee all coming up this month.

They will need to figure out a few things on the offensive side because at times there is a lot of standing around while the ball handler is playing ISO at the top of the key. Sometimes it works and other times it’s led to multiple late-game misses due to bad shot selection.

The rankings were hectic with several of the rankings outside of the top 6. Tennessee jumped four spots back into the top 5 at the No. 4 spot. Iowa State dropped to No. 8 and the biggest jump was by Arizona reentering the top 25 and No. 20. The Aggies also made a move up the poll going from No. 13 to No. 10 before their small break in action.
