‘Rivalry games rarely disappoint’: Reaction to Purdue basketball’s win over Indiana

[ad_1]

Purdue’s 81-76 win over Indiana on Friday night came down to the wire.

Despite Purdue entering the game a heavy favorite, Indiana pushed the Boilermakers to the limit. Here is the reaction to the game:

Purdue beats IU in a showcase for basketball in the great state of Indiana. I’ve written about every one of these IU-Purdue games for 11 years.

Never written what I’m about to do here.#columncoming

Rivalry games rarely disappoint. And @BoilerBall @IndianaMBB at Mackey delivered yet again. Purdue survives behind a big, big-time shot by Trey Kaufman-Renn over Oumar Ballo.

Ughhh….I’m sick! And I still hate Purdue!

What a wild dynamic it is that Indiana fans are going to be rooting for the return of football season in the middle of basketball.

Crazy game at Mackey tonight. Awesome college basketball environment.

Indiana has been inches away from two Quad 1 wins in its past two games, but has come up short both times.

Opportunities still remain though for the Hoosiers to turn a corner in February. https://t.co/ehUw9OawaQ

Heartbreaking loss for Indiana. On the cusp of a season changing win in Mackey. They did everything but win.

Big Ten Refs™️ aside, I’m just glad that we got a Purdue-Indiana game that we deserve.
