Florida basketball will begin a challenging stretch when it plays Saturday at No. 8 Tennessee.

The No. 6 Florida Gators (18-2, 5-2 SEC) will play three of its next four games against ranked opponents ― all on the road. UF will play at No. 1 Auburn on Feb. 8, then face No. 13 Mississippi State on Feb. 11.

In all, nine SEC men’s basketball teams are ranked in the USA Today Top 25 coaches poll.

“Right now, there’s an incredible amount of talent in our league from a coaching standpoint,” Florida basketball coach Todd Golden said. “I think from top to bottom. You see that on a nightly basis, how well these teams are coached, how well they’re prepared, how physical these teams are. And it’s just an absolute battle every night.”

Florida beat Tennessee 73-43 in the first meeting between the two schools on Jan. 7. UF is seeking its first season sweep against the Vols since winning all three games against UT during the 2013-14 season. The Vols lead the all-time series between the two schools 81-60.

“We know we are going to see a really, really fired up team,” Golden said. “Sometimes on the road, you have to absorb it a little bit. We will definitely try to be proactive and set the tone, get it up and down the floor a little bit and push tempo, which should help,”
