Missouri State basketball is still looking for its first win of its final Missouri Valley Conference season. It will host another league rival, which is also trying to get out of a slump.

The Bears (7-15, 0-11 MVC) will host Murray State (11-11, 5-6 MVC) at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Great Southern Bank Arena.

Murray State has lost four of its last five games, including its last two. The Racers are days removed from a 78-74 loss at Evansville, which followed a 95-77 defeat to rival Belmont.

Missouri State is engulfed in one of the longest losing streaks in program history. Until this year, the Bears had never lost 10 consecutive games in a single regular season. The longest losing streak in the program’s history came between the end of the 1979-80 season under Bill Thomas and the beginning of 1980-81 under Bob Cleeland, losing 11 consecutive games between the two.
