Kansas State’s basketball team carries the momentum of back-to-back victories into its 1 p.m. Saturday matchup against No. 3-ranked Iowa State at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa.

The Wildcats (9-11, 3-6 Big 12) knocked off West Virginia, 73-60, last Saturday and then pummeled Oklahoma State on Wednesday, 85-57, in a pair of home games and now will try to win three in a row for the first time this season. But the Wildcats have experienced nothing but futility on the road, dropping 15 straight — 12 in the Big 12 — dating back to last January.

Iowa State (17-3, 7-2) is coming off an 86-75 overtime loss at Arizona but is 11-0 in at home and has won the last two matchups against K-State in Hilton. Curtis Jones leads the Cyclones in scoring with 18.1 points per game, followed by Keshon Gilbert with 15.6 points and 4.6 assists, and Joshua Jefferson with 12.9 points and 8.1 rebounds.
