The bottom two teams in the Missouri Valley Conference will face off Wednesday night in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Missouri State will travel to Indiana State, where the two teams with the league’s longest losing streaks will meet.

The Bears are 0-10 to start Valley play and have lost their last nine. They’re coming off their best performance of the drought when they lost in overtime to Drake on Saturday at Great Southern Bank Arena.

The Sycamores have lost six straight games after starting league play 3-1. Defensively, Indiana State has been miserable when giving up 118, 98, 85 and 84 in four games of the stretch. The offense hasn’t been much better, having lost 74-56 to Northern Iowa on Saturday afternoon.

Missouri State and Indiana State played on Dec. 7 in Springfield. The Sycamores won 80-77. The Bears led by eight early in the second half, but they allowed the Sycamores to score 11 unanswered before eventually taking a seven-point lead. The Bears missed a game-tying 3 at the horn.
