Winners of three straight and five of their last six, the 25th-ranked Texas Tech basketball team is moving up the board for NCAA Tournament bracketologists across the country.

The Red Raiders (14-4, 5-2) moved to 4-0 on the road for the first time in program history with an 81-71 win over Cincinnati on Tuesday. With that road success comes more respect from those who project the March Madness field.

Through Tuesday’s games, Texas Tech is 10th in the NCAA’s NET rankings, 11th at KenPom and 12th at Bart Torvik, three big metrics used by the NCAA Tournament selection committee to field the tourney.

ESPN: 8-seed (Midwest Region)

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi gave Texas Tech a multi-seed bump over the weekend with his updated bracket on Tuesday morning, putting the Red Raiders as an 8-seed and going to Lexington, Kentucky, to face Saint Mary’s. CBS Sports: 10-seed (East Region)

Notably, Jerry Palm at CBS Sports had Texas Tech on the outside looking in of the March Madness landscape until recently. Palm has the Red Raiders as a 10-seed in the East Region headed to Raleigh, North Carolina, to take on Creighton. The matchup would be more intriguing if former Red Raider Pop Isaacs were playing, but Isaacs had season-ending surgery a while back. Palm’s bracket was released Monday.

NCAA.com: 7-seed (East Region)

Andy Katz for NCAA.com has Texas Tech also headed to the east region, though his bracket doesn’t have a potential location. As for the matchup, Katz, who released his bracket Monday, has Tech taking on 10-seed UCLA.

Bleacher Report: 6-seed (West Region)

Very interesting matchup put together by Bleacher Report’s Kerry Miller, who has Texas Tech as a 6-seed going to Providence. The opponent? JT Toppin’s old team New Mexico.

Field of 68: 8-seed (South Region)

The Field of 68’s first released bracket came out on Monday and sees Texas Tech as an 8-seed taking on 9-seed Saint…
