Cam Carr is transferring to Baylor, but with caveats after leaving Tennessee basketball in the middle of the season.

Carr announced Thursday that is has enrolled at Baylor as a student and is “taking the proper steps” to attempt to join the Bears as a walk-on for the rest of the season. He intends on being eligible next season.

The 6-foot-6 Carr is averaging 4.8 points in 10.5 minutes per game this season. He has not played since suffering the injury against Austin Peay on Nov. 17.

Carr averaged 2.3 points in 18 games in his two seasons at UT. He made a key 3-pointer in Tennessee’s Sweet 16 win against Creighton last season, filling in while Santiago Vescovi was ill.
