Georgia basketball coach Mike White was asked about his next opponent, Arkansas, soon after the Bulldogs’ two-point loss to No. 1 Auburn Saturday.

The Razorbacks were still a couple of hours from tipping off at Missouri, a game that saw the Razorbacks go down 18-2 at the start and lose 83-65.

John Calipari’s first Arkansas team is an eye-popping 0-5 in the SEC and 11-7 overall.

The Bulldogs come to town for a 9 p.m. ET game Wednesday.

“There’s some elite teams and there’s a bunch of parity, a bunch of really good teams with really good coaches,” White said of the SEC this season. “There’s going to be teams in this league with pretty records and teams that aren’t proud of their record at certain times, but it can change quickly in our league. Those guys, he’s been there before, he’s going to figure it out. They’re very, very capable.”

Calipari, the nation’s leader in career wins among active coaches, hasn’t started 0-5 in conference play since his first season at UMass in 1988-89, according to the SEC Network.

Georgia (14-4, 2-3 SEC) is just 3-14 all-time in Fayetteville, where it has lost seven in a row.

Its last win there was 60-59 on Feb. 2, 2011. The Bulldogs lost 78-75 last season there.

The Razorbacks are last in the SEC in field goal percentage in conference games at 37.8% and shooting 25.2% on 3s. Georgia is the only team with a lower percentage on 3s at 25.0

Arkansas freshman guard Boogie Fland, second on the team at 15.1 points per game, has been playing with a hand injury, Calipari said. He is listed as out for this game on the Tuesday night SEC availability report.

Bland, who is second in the SEC in assists at 5.7 per game, shot 2 of 13 in the Missouri loss.
