Auburn basketball has built quite a rivalry with the Duke Blue Devils over who claims the top spot in the KenPom rankings. Auburn held on to the top spot in KenPom for several weeks before Duke jumped the Tigers following Tuesday’s midweek action.

Both teams finished last week with 2-0 records. Auburn took care of Texas and South Carolina on the road while Duke polished off Pittsburgh and Notre Dame on the road. The Tigers escaped Austin and Columbia with close wins while Duke earned two victories over the Panthers and Fighting Irish by an average margin of 18.5 points.

Auburn is back in the top spot in Monday’s KenPom update after going 2-0 in SEC play last week. The Tigers jump Duke for the No. 1 slot by creating separation in the efficiency margin category. Auburn begins the week with a +36.03 efficiency margin, Duke is No. 2 with a margin of +35.67.

Offensive efficiency: No. 1
