Top-4 stays put in this week’s USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll

Auburn basketball begins SEC play at 1-0 after taking down Missouri last Saturday, 84-68. The bad news is that Tennessee also earned a key win in SEC play, thus creating no change in this week’s coaches poll.

Auburn remains at No. 2 in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll for the sixth-straight week after earning wins over Monmouth and Missouri at Neville Arena. The Tennessee Volunteers remain No. 1, followed by Iowa State at No. 3 and Duke at No. 4. The only change within the top five this week is the addition of Alabama at No. 5, who replaced Florida following the Gators’ loss to Kentucky. Florida now resides at No. 8.

Nine SEC teams make up this week’s coaches poll. Outside of the representatives in the top five, Kentucky checks in at No. 7 this week, followed by Florida (No. 8), Texas A&M (No. 9), Mississippi State (No. 13), Oklahoma (No. 16), and Ole Miss (No. 22).
