FYI: Mara Braun broke a bone in her right foot in late November. It was the same injury the Gophers’ guard suffered last season. Minnesota coach Dawn Plitzuweit said back when Braun’s injury was announced that the junior would be out indefinitely. McKinney, who was named the USBWA National Freshman of the Week on Dec. 31, has averaged 12.7 points in the nine games since Braun went down to an injury.
