It was a wire-to-wire victory for LSU men’s basketball when it hosted Mississippi Valley State in the comforts of home for a non-conference matchup.
The Tigers (11-2) didn’t play with their food this go-round as they controlled every aspect of the game going on countless runs to come away with a 110-45 victory to close out non-conference play.
While they gave their home crowd a show, the Delta Devils (2-11) just couldn’t keep up. No MVS player scored double-digit points with its lead scorer finishing with just eight points. This manhandling win for the Tigers marks their ninth straight win at home and puts them on a three-game winning streak heading into SEC play next week.

Cam Carter goes off
Leading the Tigers in their dominating win over the Delta Devils was guard Cam Carter who caught fire in the first half. The 6-foot-3 guard scored 16 points in the first half finding his shot all over the court. He ended the game scoring his 1,000th career point and with a team-high 23 points.
This will go down as the Cam Carter game as the Delta Devils simply had no answer for the shifty guard. He wasn’t alone though. Three other Tigers scored double digits in the matchup guards Jordan Spears and Vyctorious Miller and forward Daimion Collins.
It’s raining threes
One of the biggest reasons for LSU’s fast-paced takeover was its ability to knock down shots from the perimeter. That has been a strong spot for the Tigers all season long and it continued against the Delta Devils. Carter was the main rainman for the Tigers scoring a team-high five three-pointers.
