Texas A&M (11-2) extended its winning streak to six after beating Abilene Christian (8-6) at Reed Arena Saturday afternoon.

The victory marked the end of non-conference play, and there was no playing down to the opponent as A&M walked through a very game ACU Wildcat team that will make some noise in the WAC. Outside of some bad misses at the free-throw line, the Aggies were very efficient.

It was encouraging to witness junior forward Pharrell Payne continuing to be a strong presence in the paint for the Maroon & White. The team is beginning to come together cohesively just as they prepare to enter SEC play, which features several top 25 teams.
