It’s a time of change in the ACC with the fall semester over, the holidays in full swing and three new members officially getting welcomed to their new home with in-conference matchups.
As the new year approaches, here’s where the ACC’s 18 men’s basketball programs stand:

ACC basketball power rankings
1. Duke
The Blue Devils continue to look like the clear class of the conference, with Kon Knueppel scoring 18 points, four shy of a career high, in a 26-point win at Georgia Tech.
2. Pitt
The Panthers put up their highest single-game point total in eight years with a 110-78 stomping of Sam Houston State that moved Jeff Capel’s team to 10-2
3. Clemson
A balanced scoring effort, with five players scoring between 12 and 16 points, helped the Tigers snap a two-game losing streak and move to 2-0 in ACC play with a win over Wake Forest.
4. North Carolina
The Tar Heels got a much-needed win over a ranked team, rallying from a 16-point deficit behind Ian Jackson’s career-high 24 points in a victory over UCLA in Madison Square Garden.

5. SMU
In a 26-point win, the Mustangs got 22 points off 16 Boston College turnovers — only one fewer than Penn State got off SMU quarterback Kevin Jennings in the College Football Playoff.
6. Louisville
The 3-pointers on which Pat Kelsey’s Cardinals will be dependent this season fell against Florida State, with Louisville making 15 of 29 in a 14-point win at the Seminoles.
7. NC State
The Wolfpack has won three of four after a three-game losing streak, with the only loss coming on the road against a top-10 Kansas team.
8. Wake Forest
Hunter Sallis had 26 of his team’s 62 points and made 11 of the Demon Deacons’ 25 made shots in an 11-point loss against Clemson.
