Dallas Mavericks v Golden State Warriors
Three-point shot attempts are up again this season—a concerning trend for some—and with that, so are makes: The average NBA game this season has 27 made 3s on 75 attempts (35.9%).
The Warriors and Mavericks blew that out of the water Sunday night, setting a record with 48 made 3-pointers between them (on 95 attempts, a ridiculous 50.5% for the game).
This game proved to be the contrast to Friday night’s Bulls vs. Hornets game where the teams combined to miss 75 3-pointers, also an NBA record.
It was fitting that in another Splash Brothers reunion in the Bay Area, Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry would lead the way with seven made 3-pointers each. Luka Doncic added six for the Mavericks, while both Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green had five for the Warriors. Green is quietly having the best 3-point shooting season of his career, hitting 39.8% from beyond the arc.
The Mavericks got the win in San Francisco, 143-133.
