Quentin Tles scored a career-best 29 points to lead the Kentucky Wesleyan College men’s basketball team to a 76-58 conference win against Ashland on Saturday in Ashland.
Toles made 12-of-18 shots from the floor, including 4-of-7 from 3-point range, grabbed six rebounds and dished four assists. His 3-pointer in the final seconds of the first half gave Wesleyan a 33-31 lead at halftime.
After that, it was all Panthers.
KWC (6-2, 1-0 G-MAC) shot 54.6% from the floor after intermission, outscoring Ashland 43-27 in the second half.
Logan McIntire added 12 points for Wesleyan, which shot 48.4% from the field, including 10-of-26 from distance (38.5%), and converted 6-of-10 free throws (60%) with seven turnovers. Kennedy Miles chipped in 10 points with four assists and three steals, and Fatih Huyuk produced nine points with seven rebounds and two steals.
Maceo Williams scored 33 points and 10 rebounds as the lone double-digit scorer for Ashland (5-3, 2-1).
The Eagles shot 39.7% from the field, 5-of-26 from 3-point range (19.2%) and made 3-of-5 foul shots (60%) with 10 turnovers.
KWC has now won six consecutive games and plays again Monday at Malone.

Arielle Dabu scored a team-high 11 points as the Panthers fell in a G-MAC matchup at Ashland.
The Eagles’ size was too much to overcome as Hayley Smith (17 points, 11 rebounds) and Zoe Miller (16 points, 12 rebounds) led Ashland to a 45-25 rebounding advantage, a 14-2 lead in second-chance scoring, a 42-28 edge in paint scoring and a 27-9 lead in points off turnovers.
