Dec. 9—A look at the top eight performances in the 2024-25 girls basketball season so far:

Queensland was a one-girl wrecking crew on Tuesday, Dec. 5. The versatile 5-foot-11 senior guard scored 21 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in a 45-41 win over Southland. Look out for Grand Meadow. Most nights, the Superlarks are a balanced machine.

A 5-8 junior, Dobbs has the Cobras off to a perfect start (4-0 as of Thursday). The power forward had a huge game Thursday, scoring 29 points and hauling in 15 rebounds as Triton blitzed Lewiston-Altura 76-38. Three days prior, Dobbs was good for 18 points and nine rebounds in a 37-point win over La Crescent-Hokah.

This will be the first of many appearances by Sauer in this “Top Standouts” list. Sauer, one of the top handful of players in southeastern Minnesota, had her biggest night so far this season on Dec. 3 when she scored 35 points in an 87-62 win over Rushford-Peterson. Sauer was 13-for-19 from the floor, including 5-7 on 3-pointers. She also hit all four of her free throws and added 7 rebounds, 7 steals and 6 assists. Oh, and she did it all in just 24 minutes.

Sophomore guard Christopherson was feeling it on Monday, Dec. 2, when she poured in 30 points in a 67-61 win over Southland. Christopherson was 10-for-20 from the field, including 3-9 on 3-pointers. She made 7 of 9 free throws and added four steals and three assists. Through four games, she’s averaging 19 points.

Nov. 23 was quite a night for Caledonia senior forward Josie Foster. Not only did the Upper Iowa University commit surpass 1,000 career points that evening in a 67-48 win over Lourdes, but she was good for 30 points and 12 rebounds against the Eagles. Foster sizzled, going 12-for-19 from the field, including 5-9 on 3-pointers. Foster is averaging 20 points and nine rebounds per game for the Warriors.

Seifert has taken a major leap this season and had her best game so far Nov. 23 in a 73-65 win over Mankato West. In that one, she scored 33 points, grabbed 19 rebounds and…
