The Oregon Duck men’s basketball team gathers off court before their game against Troy at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene on Nov. 17.

The Oregon men’s basketball team’s big week in Las Vegas has sent them soaring up the rankings.

The undefeated Ducks (8-0) rose 27 spots from unranked to No. 10 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll after wins against then-No. 9 Alabama and then-No. 20 Texas A&M at the Players Era Festival.

Oregon opened the tournament with an 80-70 win against the Aggies last Tuesday, beat San Diego State 78-68 on Wednesday and ended with an 83-81 victory against the Crimson Tide in the championship game on Saturday.

With those wins, the Ducks continued their best start since opening the 2013-14 season with 13-straight victories.

The only team from the Big Ten ranked ahead of Oregon is No. 7 Purdue (7-1).

Filling out the top-10 are No. 1 Kansas, No. 2 Auburn, No. 3 Tennessee, No. 4 Marquette, No. 5 Iowa State, No. 6 Kentucky, No. 8 Gonzaga and No. 9 Duke.

Up next for the Ducks is the start of conference play against some former-Pac-12 foes. They’ll face Southern California at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Los Angeles at Galen Center, then UCLA at 3 p.m. Sunday in Matthew Knight Arena.
