The Bradley Braves basketball team travels to play Southern Illinois today in the opening game of the Missouri Valley Conference season.

BU (7-1) is coming off a championship in the Myrtle Beach Invitational and a big home win vs Judson. SIU (3-5) has just one victory against a Division-I opponent, but is tested. The Salukis lost close games to Oklahoma State, Louisiana Tech and Eastern Kentucky. They also have a 93-68 loss to No. 13 Florida.
