MANHATTAN — Kansas State basketball finally put it all together. In fact, it was a record-breaking performance.
The Wildcats completely overwhelmed Arkansas-Pine Bluff on the way to a 30-point halftime advantage Sunday and kept the hammer down for a much-needed 120-73 blowout victory against the badly overmatched Golden Lions.
The 120 points were the most ever in a single game for K-State (6-2). It was the second straight victory for the Wildcats.
Achor Achor led six K-State double-figure scorers for K-State, with Dug McDaniel adding 18 points and 10 assists. David N’Guessan and David Castillo each had 17 points, Brendan Hausen 14 and Max Jones 12. N’Guessan led the team with eight rebounds.
K-State shot 61.5% for the game and made 21 3-pointers, the most in a game since 1994.
K-State scored the game’s first eight points, followed that with a nine-point run to lead 17-3 and never looked back. The Wildcats led 63-33 at the break, scoring the third-most points in a first half ever.
Chop Paljor led UAPB (1-8) with 15 points.

Wildcats break century mark, continue to roll
Brendan Hausen’s 3-pointer from the left corner put K-State over the century mark for the first time this season at 102-59 with 5:22 left. Achor Achor tacked on another three and the Wildcats are up 105-64 with exactly four minutes… [ad_2]
