The Huskers kicked off the month of December at home against North Florida on Sunday afternoon. Nebraska dominated the Ospreys 103-72, reaching triple digits for the first time in exactly three years.
The Huskers dropped 40-of-69 from the field and 11-of-24 from three-point range. Nebraska also snatched 12 steals, helping the defense keep North Florida to 25-of-65 from the field and 14-of-43 from beyond the arc.
Connor Essegian led the charge, scoring 22 points after going 8-of-10 from the field and 6-of-8 from three-point range. Juwan Gary delivered 18 points, landing 7-of-12 total shots.
Brice Williams scored 17 points and earned a team-high six assists. Andrew Morgan led the team in rebounds with nine, and his 13 points almost earned him a double-double. Ahron Ulis rounded out Nebraska’s top five scorers with 10 points.
Nebraska improves to 6-1 on the season and faces the Michigan State Spartans in its first conference clash of the season on Saturday morning. Tipoff is set for 11:00 a.m. CT on Big Ten Network.
