Nov. 30—Illinois’ 90-77 victory against No. 19 Arkansas was a fairly big one when it comes to signature victories. Primarily because the Illini jumped out to an 11-0 lead in less than 4 minutes and basically led the Razorbacks by double digits the entire game.
It’s a win that also got Illinois on the national radar. The Illini were something of a question mark — at least outside Champaign — given the severity of the roster turnover following last year’s Elite Eight run. What they did to Arkansas answered some of those questions.
